  • READ THE BOOK, SEE THE PLAY: Marilyn Heberling's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll's delightfully wacky classic, will be staged at the library Saturday, May 6 at 2 p.m. The show is for school-age children (K and up) and their families. Lots of audience participation is promised. Children can join the jury. Free tickets at the junior room desk the day of the performance.
  • READ THE BOOK, SEE THE MOVIE: The Burns Film Center in Pleasantville will host a family "book chat" about the book and film versions of Charlotte's Web, E.B. White's classic story about friendship, life and death in a barnyard. The film will be shown Sunday, May 7 at noon, followed by a discussion of the book and movie, led by educator Anne Marie Santoro.   • READ THE BOOKS, SEE THE MARATHON: Coming to the library Saturday, May 27, and Sunday May 28, a Harry Potter marathon showing the first four movies based on the series of books by J.K. Rowling. Info: 941-2416 ext 308.
