"For professional reading, I've started From Neurons to Neighborhoods:
The Science of Early Childhood Development edited by Jack Shonkoff and Deborah Phillips. It presents a great discussion on what young children need from the adults in their lives and how they develop emotionally and cognitively.
"For more lighthearted reading, I'm working on a science fiction series by Ben Bova - stories set on other planets. I've read Jupiter, Venus and Mercury. What I love about science fiction is exploring what societies we might create if we had the opportunity to start over on another planet."
— Zoila Tazi, principal, Roosevelt School
The story of a woman's "ordinary" life. My mother gave it to me when I was asking for some fiction recommends.

A send up of the police procedural, second in the series of novels featuring Jack Spratt, a PDR (Person of Dubious Reality), who, having solved the Humpty Dumpty mystery in the first installment, is now engaged in tracking down the homicidal Gingerbreadman, while also tracking the missing Goldilocks. I'm reading it because Fforde's Thursday Next series are absolutely hilarious and so I devour anything he writes.
— Irene Herz, President Elect, Ossining RotaryA piercing analysis of conflicting human emotions involved in marriage, divorce, monetary gain and neglect of children. I'm reading it because my daughter brought it home for me from the library.
