Library Computer System Will be Down
The library's computer system will be down on March 9th and 10th for maintenance. Patrons must do the following:
- Patrons MUST have a library card with them to check out materials. We will not permit checkout with a form of ID.
- No renewals will be permitted without the actual items in hand and a library card. Phone renewals will not be an option for the two days. In-person renewals ONLY will be permitted.
- Accounts cannot be accessed; therefore, we cannot look up any information about due dates, holds, or fines.
- We will not be able to change personal information or issue new cards.
Internet service and wireless connectivity will not be affected.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

SAT Party
On Sunday, March 7th from 2 to 3:30 p.m. please join us for an SAT Party. Michael Goodman will present some of the more difficult questions from last years tests in quiz form with immediate results and analysis. Correct answers are rewarded with cookies! Teen Job Skills Workshops
Prepare for the upcoming Teen Job Fair on April 17th at the Ossining Recreation Center by coming to our Teen Job Skills Workshops on Saturday, March 27th. Patty Chapman Book Discussion
Patty Chapman is back in 2010! A 3-part book discussion series. Building on our discussion of global trends and connections: What will we hang on to in a "flat-world"....How does human nature react...and act? Connected...How...and Why?! The first book that will be discussed on Feb. 24th is The Road by Cormac McCarthy. The other books are The Undiscovered Self by C.G. Jung on March 24th and Earth in the Balance by Al Gore on April 14th. Registration suggested, but not required. Please call the PR Dept. at 914-941-2416 ext. 326. The new start date is now Wednesday, February 24th at 7 p.m. Conference Room.
WEBS is back in 2010!
WEBS helps participants assess themselves, obtain career and educational information, explore career options, and market themselves. Participants will also learn how to use the internet in their job search. The program is geared to those who are unemployed, changing careers, reentering the workforce or returning to school. The nineteen-hour workshop consists of an orientation session, eight group sessions, and one individual session with a career counselor. If you wish to attend the program please call 674-3612 on or after January 19th to register. Places will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. WEBS seminars will be held at the library on Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. beginning in February through April.
