Kevin O'Leary, a fixture of the Ossining Public Library for decades, died of a heart attack on his way to work at the library this past Sunday.
A favorite of library staff and visitors, Kevin brightened each day at the library with his smile, great stories, and, most especially, his piano playing and singing.
Kevin - we will miss you!
Information regarding memorial services is forthcoming.Photography Course
The Ossining Public Library is considering offering photography classes to interested adults and teens.
The focus of these classes will be on everyday photography using your own equipment - anything from a cell phone camera to an old 35mm film camera - for in-class examples and demonstrations of different approaches to your photos.
Classes will be conducted by renowned photographer Mark R. Friedman.
Mr. Friedman has had his work displayed in a variety of publications and has had one-man shows in SOHO and other locations throughout New York City.
If there is enough community interest in these classes, they will begin on or about January 14, 2012 from 1-3 p.m.
